Mulches
Shredded
Hardwoods
Composed of 100% shredded hardwoods.
Offered in 7 different grades, beginning with Grade B, being
the coarsest in texture and lightest in color, to Grades B+,
Homeowner's Special, A, AA, AAA Fines. This family of
mulches is the most common, with Grade A being the most
popular and accounting for over 60% of our hardwood volume. New this
year is a colorized Grade A hardwood, which is tinted brown.
We recommend hardwoods for first time application to new mulch
areas and new beds because of the nutrient benefit to the soil
and new plantings. |

Tinted Mulches
100% recycled
hardwood pallets tinted with FDA approved vegetable dye and
ground to a fine to medium texture. Available in 5
colors, red, black, dark brown, mock cedar, and mock cypress.
These dyed mulches should maintain their color longer than the
hardwoods and should decompose at a slower rate, but offer
little nutrient value to the soil and landscaping plants. |

Cypress Mulch
Composed of 100% cypress bark and

with a golden-orange color and a slow decomposition rate.
This product must be imported from southern Georgia or
Florida, making it the most expensive of our mulches. |

Soils & Compost
"Grow Green" Compost
Composed of straw, leaves,
woodshavings, and assorted manures that we have periodically turned
and mixed for at least 3 years. The materials are then
pulverized and screened for a fine texture and will appear as a
dark, dry soil product. This is an excellent additive to
established beds and gardens that may need nutritional
supplementing.
Compost/Topsoil Mix:
Our own exclusive mix of brown topsoil, and our "Grow Green Compost," mentioned
above. Excellent for building new landscape beds, and flower
and vegetable gardens. The proper combination for
establishing, maintaining and feeding new plantings.
Pulverized Topsoil:
Obtained by removing the top few
inches from a given area. This product has been pulverized and
screened. Because of the composition of most soil in our area,
this product will contain some clay which will aid it in retaining
moisture.
Bulk Woodshavings
Dry shavings, perfect for horse bedding.

Firewood
A mixture of seasoned hardwoods, cut and
split and sold by the rick, a 4 foot high x 8 foot long stack, with
pieces 18" to 24" long (approximately 185 pieces to the rick).
Available after August 1st each summer.
